Imagine Demons

Hey there!
So, I've actually been kind of holding back with updates.... With that Gnomon class and working everyday of the week, this painting has been a WIP for like 2 months. But since my class ended, I've had some time to work on it.

Imagine Dragons is a great band (probably first heard in ending credits of "How to Train Your Dragon") and I think their songs have this atmosphere about them that makes them so much more memorable than a lot of the "i love you" and the "lets get on the dance floor and have sex" kind of songs that usually play on the radio.
The song "Demons" in particular just had this strong visual for me. So this is my say about the song.

Gnomon Final

Here's that final that I was talking about. I'm in the process of polypainting i, but its a hi-poly model so the processes is painfully slow... especially with laptop.
I'm also posting the color sketches that I did for him. I'm thinking he'll be bronze with gold tattoos.... but that might be over kill.

Zbrush Stuff

Soooo yes, I'm alive.
Sorry for the lack of posts. Life has become very busy and work-full. So a little update in my life is that I've been taking a creature sculpting class at Gnomon School of Visual Arts. Its an amazing class with a great teacher and some pretty talented people. But here is some of the sculpts that I've done with this class. Hopefully I'll be able to upload a colored and posed version of my final soon too.

More Cavarthon Buildings

Just as the title says. I'm trying to figure out how these people would move around their walled city. And figuring out the general motif of the central tower.  An illustration will come out of this soon.... when I figure out what the city layout is.

Break: Process

Also, just for fun, I'm posting the progress of how I painted "Break". I apologize for the weird dark areas over parts of the image... that would be my shadow.

To see the finished peice, click here.

Painting: Break

This I've been working on shinning up my painting skills and wanted to put more Illustrations in my portflio. So Here is a painting of Shinai and Fanen during their first encounter with each other. If you've visited my website, you've probably seen the comic version of this scene.

I wanted to play around with character placement... Kind of like on a stage with performance art, its always a good to have all your actors face the audience.

More Envirnments

So I little while ago, I posted some samples of Nexthian architecture, so here is some Cavrthon architecture and environments.
I wanted to get across that they are intelligent, but don't have the time to stay very "clean".
