Skyrim Shield

I had this idea after playing Skyrim for the first time in like 2 years. I love that there are so many mods for the game, so I thought that since most of the shields are already iconic enough, why not try turning the logo into a kite shield.. since it already looks like one.

I was hoping to just make a very simple block piece for the part that I wanted to go onto the kite shield shape.... oh how wrong I was to think that it would be easy. There were lots of problems just trying to et the pieces to sit flat

I cut the block piece in half... long ways... so I could make at least 2 shields

Finally mount it and resined it.

World of Warcraft: Corrupted Ashbringer

One of my coworkers suggested that I look up this weapon, not only because its cool but because of tits history in the game. Unfortunately, I'm not a WOW player, but I love all the characters, weapons, and styles Blizzard makes for this franchise.

The first version I saw of this sword looked like i stepped back to the 90s Playstaion 1 graphics and, though its cool, I didn't think it would make a good cosplay weapon to play with. Fortunately, since Diablo is also owned by Blizzard, there's a D3 version and thats what I choose.

"Alas, dear Yoric. I knew him well"

I usually like to install my structure before beveling details and such, but for this project, I needed to install the clear polystyrene without damaging it.

I tried to get some good glow in the dark paint, but none of them had the "pop" that I wanted.

League of Legends: Tryndamere's Sword

This is probably the biggest sword I've made to date... with an equally amazing build time. I think I was able to get this one done in the span of about 2 weeks in order to get it to Anime Conji in San Deigo.

As a person who is new to playing LOL (and actually has never played Tryndamere,) this was a bit difficult just because I couldn't find good pictures of the same sword. Skins are amazing, but I wanted just the original... so I guessed some of the details.

Got to start somewhere.... and in this case, a huge piece of foam.

I bit off a lot more than I could chew and actually had to take out about 6in for me to be tall enough to install the handle.

Its like dissection day in high school science

This was the most confusing parts and I couldn't really find any pictures that made this part clear so I winged it... I personally think its a pretty good interpretation.

Its coming together and actually starting to look like a sword... a big sword.

I debated casting some gems, but with my luck at casting, I decided to just carve them.

Surprisingly long time to paint just a monochromatic color scheme.

Painting effects is probably my favorite... and doesn't ruin my brushes
